Warwickshire Drooper jam

from £4.00

A heritage variety of plums, which are yellow with red speckling on the skins. This makes a golden yellow jam with a sweet flavour reminiscent of apricot.

The history of Warwickshire Drooper is incomplete; it was probably introduced in the first half of the 20th century and grown commercially around Warwickshire and surrounding areas. It may have come from the Dundale plum in Kent, and originally called Magnum in the Midlands. This plum variety became known by its current name in the 1940’s, which ties up with its appearance in plum literature after the second world war.

Ingredients: Sugar, Warwickshire Drooper plums, Water, Freshly squeezed lemon juice, Pectin.

Sizes: Small (130g), Medium (227g), Large (320g)

Once opened, keep in the fridge and consume within 1 month.
